Conservative parliamentary candidate Jason Sugarman sent his congratulations to the team at Seahaven FM who have been awarded their full time community licence from Ofcom. Seahaven FM will become a full time licenced Community Radio Station broadcasting on FM early in 2010. They currently broadcast 24/7 on the internet from their studios in Seaford East Sussex with local presenters and aim their broadcasts at the local residents in the area known locally as Seahaven: Seaford, Newhaven, Peacehaven and the towns and villages nearby, which also includes the Ouse Valley that leads to the county town of Lewes.Jason Sugarman said `This is great news for Seahaven, I hope that the transition to a full time community radio station, transmitting not only on the internet but an FM Radio early next year, goes smoothly and I wish them every success.’
