Daniel Hannan MEP Wins Over UKIP Supporters In Seaford

Jason Sugarman, Conservative parliamentary candidate for the Lewes constituency was joined on Saturday 20^th March by Daniel Hannan, one of the more outspoken of the Conservative MEPs.

 An open meeting, held in Seaford Baptist church heard Daniel rail against the quango state created by Gordon Brown & Tony Blair. He looked forward to seeing a David Cameron led government start to sweep away the huge number of unelected and unaccountable bureaucrats currently governing our country and start the job of devolving power back down to a local level.

He warned people present that a vote for any party other than the Conservatives risked allowing Gordon Brown to hold onto power, with continuing disastrous consequences for business, taxpayers and the economy.

Jason Sugarman said: I am delighted that one of the most articulate and able Conservative MEPs has decided to endorse my campaign, Daniel is one of the leading euro-sceptic politicians of his generation, it was interesting to see so many UKIP party activists attend our public meeting to listen to what he had to say. I hope they now see that any vote for a UKIP candidate will just help Labour and the Lib Dems give away more of our Sovereignty and allow us to be dictated to by Brussels. A number of UKIP supporters told me after the event that they would be backing the Conservatives after hearing Daniel’s inspiring speech. We hope more decide to do so in the coming weeks.”

Jason Sugarman, winding up the meeting, said how pleased he had been by his reception on the streets. He was finding people determined to change the government and aware that only David Cameron or Gordon Brown would be in a position to form a new administration.
