Jason Sugarman Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Polegate, was joined on Saturday 27th March by Conservative County Councillor Nick Bennett & Wealden District Councillor Barby Dashwood-Hall in an open questions event held at Polegate Community Centre, where local residents were invited to come and talk to the panel and ask questions.
In a wide-ranging discussion covering both local and national issues, Jason and the panel reassured residents on issues relating to planning in Polegate, pledging that the Conservatives will return power to the local planning authorities and disband the Labour created quangos.
The panel also answered questions on immigration; explaining that the Conservatives will work to reduce immigration and prevent illegal immigration by tightening border controls.
Jason said ` If people migrate to this country then they must be prepared to invest in this country and embrace the core values of a British society.’
Jason urged residents to vote Conservative in order to get rid of Gordon Brown and his discredited administration saying `A vote for any other party will allow Labour to hold onto power. We have an opportunity for real change in this Country and Constituency; we cannot afford another five years of a failing local MP and Gordon Brown’s tired government making things worse.’
