A response to my UKIP-supporting readers Another 48 hours of campaigning across my vast, soggy, Home Counties patch, with speeches at Amersham (Bucks), Pulborough (West Sussex) and Seaford (East Sussex), and I’m sticking to my prediction that David Cameron will win the election with a working majority. People are desperate to get rid of a government that has left our country diminished, our Treasury empty, our credit exhausted and our parliamentary system de-legitimised. (more…)

Graffiti has been sprayed on buildings at the sea front and the Council is ignoring it
Jason Sugarman Conservative parliamentary Candidate for the Lewes Constituency has been contacted by a group of very frustrated Seaford residents who have had no positive action from the Lib Dem run Seaford town council for over three weeks despite having complained about unsightly graffiti along Seaford Beach.
Jason Sugarman said: “The Lib Dem town Council and Lib Dem MP have failed to do anything for over three weeks. They are more interested in raising local council tax by 33 per cent than actually dealing with residents concerns. Graffiti is such an eyesore and if it is left too long it really disfigures the community. It also is likely to be copied by others if it isn’t removed promptly.
Seaford beach is such a lovely and relaxing place to visit but being confronted with graffiti like this reminds people of inner city depravation and gangs of youths. If I become the MP for Seaford I would insist these matters are attended to within hours rather than weeks. Seaford has a population of over 25,000 and is the biggest town in the Lewes constituency; the Town Council should be able to deal with vandalised property like this quickly and efficiently so that residents can enjoy the amenities they are currently paying so much for”.
