Jason Sugarman, Conservative parliamentary candidate for the Lewes constituency was joined on Saturday 20th March by Daniel Hannan, one of the more outspoken of the Conservative MEPs.

On Saturday 20th March, Jason Sugarman, Conservative parliamentary candidate for the Lewes constituency, attended a public meeting at Ringmer Village hall where local residents were invited to come and talk to Jason and ask questions.
In a wide-ranging discussion covering both local and national issues, Jason reassured residents on the issues of MP’s expenses, explaining more about the Conservative pledge to reduce the number of MP’s in parliament, roll back power of the state and disband the Labour created guangos that allow unelected officials to run our lives.
Jason also urged residents to vote Conservative in order to get rid of Gordon Brown and his discredited administration saying `A vote for any other party will allow Labour to hold onto power’.
Jason Sugarman said `After 13 years of a Lib Dem MP, what has this constituency got? Roads that are still badly in need of investment with unnecessary deaths still taking place at Selmeston, no long term action on flooding in Lewes or any real investment in Newhaven. We need to return a Conservative MP to ensure a change in our constituency and in our government.
Whilst campaigning many Ringmer residents have said they know that the Lib Dems have played political tricks on the community, especially over the incinerator; the residents are keen to see a change in this constituency and return a Conservative MP, I aim to be a problem solver for our constituency and will be happy to be judged on my results’
