Improving our children’s education is a top priority. Jason Sugarman also wants to see more school buildings modernised and schools reformed to better serve our children.

We need an education system that unlocks the talent of every child – rich and poor. We cannot allow the scandal of an education system that deepens divisions in society.

We need to give parents more power and control over their children’s education. A Conservative government will do this and will change funding rules to ensure poorer children do not lose out in our education system.

A Conservative government will do more to improve school discipline and to stop the health and safety culture that stops children going on out of school trips and makes education dull. We will tackle the bureaucracy that undermines teaching and stop the closure of special schools.
